Lucas Wrench is an artist and events curator based in Los Angeles. Wrench currently organizes events and workshops at Machine Project, a non-profit art space in Echo Park, as well as running Machine Project’s unofficial subterranean performance incubator, Mystery Theater Productions Presents! Outside of Machine Project, Wrench leads performances, role-plays, discussions, and workshops around issues of digital-resistance as a co-founder of the LA Crypto Crew, the Legion of Hackers for the Revolution, and Libros Schmibros’ Cyberpunk Reading Group. Wrench has collaborated with Cabinet magazine, the Craft and Folk Art Museum, High Desert Test Sites, Human Resources, the International Center of Photography, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver amongst others; his work has been featured in publications including Artforum, Art in America, Hyperallergic, and the LA Weekly. Wrench holds a B.A. from Pomona College.
